Barauni



Barauni, once known as Jhuldabhaj, is a small town situated in the north-central part of Bihar. The town which is a part of Begusarai urban area, lies to the north of the Ganges River. It is an industrial area and has a petroleum refinery. Barauni Thermal Power Station is also located here. Barauni is a major railway junction too. Barauni is connected to the nearby towns by National Highway 28 and a ferry service on the Ganges. Patna is the nearest airport.
