carved out of Bharatpur District
. It is surrounded by

in the north-east, Morena District
of Madhya Pradesh
in the south,
Sawai Madhopur District
in the west, and Bharatpur District
in the north. Dhaulpur has a total area of 3,034 sq km with a population of around a million. It is one of the hottest places in Rajasthan. The average annual rainfall is about 67 cm. The major crops are bajra
