Ennairam is a pilgrimage centre in Viluppuram District, Tamil Nadu. The place is famous for the Alagiya Narasingaperumal Temple, where a long Tamil inscription, 1000 years old, was found in 2003. The temple itself was constructed in the early 11th century, during the reign of the Cholas.

The word Ennairam means 8000 in Tamil, and the place was called so because 8000 Jains are believed to have been executed here. Another version of the story is that the Jains were not executed, but they embraced Brahmanism. The Tamil poet, Kalamegam, famous for his puns, belonged to Ennairam.
