Saidapet is a residential area located in Chennai. The place lies on the banks of Adyar River. The main attraction of Saidapet is the Teachers' Training College that dates back to more than 100 years. The Cosmopolitan Golf Annexe is another tourist spot which is spread over an area of 75 acres. Karaneeswarar Temple and the church at Chinnamalai (13 km from Chennai) are worth visiting.
