Kuchipudi town is situated 60 km from
Vijayawada in
Krishna District of
Andhra Pradesh. It is the birthplace of Siddhendra Yogi, creator of the
Kuchipudi dance form. The dance form derives its name from the name of this small town. The town has a dance school in memory of Siddhendra Yogi.
