Begambur Big Mosque



Begambur Big Mosque is situated near the south gate of the famous Dindigul Fort, which is located on the outskirts of Dindigul city, Tamil Nadu. This mosque has been built by Hyder Ali, the father of Tipu Sultan. This mosque has been named ‘Begambur’ (meaning 'royal lady') in memory of Ameer-un-Nisha Begum, sister of Hyder Ali.

The nearest railhead is the Dindigul Junction Railway Station.
