Dakini

Related to the Hindu goddess Kali, Dakini is the Tibetan Buddhist goddess who embodies the highest wisdom and the most powerful form of feminine divinity. Her name suggests the meaning 'sky dancer' or one who travels through the sky. She is represented with her left hand holding up the lamp of liberation, liberation from the bondage of birth and death. In wrathful form, the goddess is seen wearing a garland of skulls around her neck, while her peaceful aspect is signified by the lotus frond. Goddess Dakini is believed to confer the ultimate spiritual knowledge on the true seeker.
