Patiala Bus Station is situated adjacent to the Patiala Railway Station, which is about 7 km from the Army Institute of Law (AIL.) The bus station is on the Chandigarh-Patiala highway. Buses ply from Patiala to Amritsar, Ludhiana, Faridkot and New Delhi.
Places of tourist interest in the town include Rajpura (an old Mughal outpost with a dilapidated fort) and the painted chamber of Kali Devi Temple.
The nearest domestic and international airports are at Chandigarh and New Delhi respectively.
