Gurdwara Alamgir

Gurdwara Manji Sahib

Gurdwara Alamgir is a historical shrine located at Alamgir, about 11 km from Ludhiana. It is believed that Guru Gobind Singh, the last Guru of the Sikhs, had stayed here for a few days due to the threat from the Mughal military.

Folklore has it that a spring appeared when the Guru shot an arrow into the ground for finding drinking water. This spring, popularly known as Tirsar (arrow lake), has been developed into a tank. Gurdwara Alamgir is also famous as Gurdwara Manji Sahib, which attracts thousands of Sikh devotees.

Accommodation facilities are available for the devotees. The nearest airport is Ludhiana Airport.
