Located in Bhubaneswar
, Satrughaneswara temple is ascribed to the 6th century A.D. It belongs to a group of three temples, the other two being the temples of Lakshmanesvara and Bharatesvara. The sculptures on the monuments reveal its affinities with those of the Dasavatara temple at Deogarh
. The monuments are marked by designs which resemble post-Gupta Art. The ruined temple of Lakshmaneswar is adjacent to Shatrughaneswar temple. This revered place of pilgrimage is visited by hundreds of devotees every year.
