Panchalingeswar




Panchalingeswar is a religious spot situated about 30 km from Baleswar, in Orissa. The place is noted for the five Shivling found here in the verdant environs of Kodaikanal Nilgiri Hills. It is believed that the Shivlings were installed by king Banasura.

The glittering perennial spring flowing on the five lingams is an added attraction. Every year thousands of devotees visit the place to take a holy dip in the holy stream. The serenity and beauty of its surrounding makes it an ideal picnic spot.

Balasore Railway Station is the nearest railhead. The nearest airport is at Bhubaneswar.
