Naganatheswar Temple




Naganatheswar Temple is an ancient shrine situated at Nagena, about 20 km from Dhenkanal, in Orissa. The presiding deity here is Lord Shiva, locally known as Sri Naganatheswar Shiva.

Naganatheswar Temple was constructed during the region of the Keshari dynasty. It is believed to be one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in the state. The ‘Awashyotirlinga’, one of the Jyotirlingas, is situated in the Daruka-Vana (Neem forest), situated in the temple premises.

Dhenkanal Railway Station is the nearest railway station.
