National Highway 43



National Highway 43 links the capital city of Chhattisgarh, Raipur with Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh. This 551 km-long stretch spans across the states of Chhattisgarh, Orissa and Andhra Pradesh.

National Highway 43, starting from Raipur, passes southwards through the cities of Dhamtari and Kanker to join National Highway 16 at Jagdalpur. It then turns east and enters Orissa near Kotapad. National Highway 43 traverses 316 km in Chhattisgarh.

In Orissa, National Highway 43 moves south-east towards Andhra Pradesh; Koraput and Pottangi are located along the highway. The road is 152 km-long in Orissa. In Andhra Pradesh, National Highway 43 runs past Salur and Gajapatinagaram before terminating on National Highway 5 at Natavalasa.

Sunabeda, Jeypore and Bastar are some tourist places lying on or near the National Highway 43.
