Zunheboto



Zunheboto is the administrative headquarters of Zunheboto District, in Nagaland. Situated at an altitude of 1874 m above sea level, it is home to the Sema Tribe - the martial tribe among the Nagas. Zunheboto is situated 150 km north-east of Kohima, the capital of Nagaland.

Major tourist attractions in and around the town include the Ghosu Bird Sanctuary (8 km) and Satoi Range. Tuluni Festival, celebrated here annually in the second week of July, is a major draw.

The nearest airport is at Dimapur, 74 km from Kohima, which is also the closest railway station. By road, Kohima is linked with Dimapur, Imphal, Guwahati and Shillong.
