Meghalaya State Museum



Meghalaya State Museum, also known as Williamson Sangma State Museum, is located in the central library premises, in Shillong of Meghalaya. The museum is flanked by a stone memorial of U Kiang Nangbah - a great freedom fighter from Jaintia Hills District.

Meghalaya State Museum is a store house of ethnic art and culture, with an array of artifacts including replicas of Ashoka pillar, utensils, weapons, pottery, ornaments, traditional cutting tools and musical instruments.
