Sevagram Ashram

Sevagram Ashram was established by Mahatma Gandhi in 1933. It was his home during the last 12 years of his life. The ashram is situated at Sevagram, the 'village of service.' It has 100 acres of farmland as well as residences and research centers. The original dwelling huts and Gandhiji's famous spinning wheel and spectacles are still kept in their original state. There is a Yatri Nivas for the benefit of visitors and for holding training camps and conferences. An exhibition on the life of Gandhiji is held near the ashram.

Sevagram Ashram is situated at a distance of 75 km from Nagpur station, Maharashtra and 8 km from Wardha Junction Railway Station.
