Jaigad Fort



Jaigad Fort is a small sea fort situated about 35 km from Ganpatipule, in Ratnagiri District, Maharashtra. This 17th century fort, perched on a cliff overlooking the confluence of the Sangameshwar River and the Arabian Sea, offers spectacular views of the village and the sea.

The ancient temple of Karateshwar and Jaigad Lighthouse, built in 1832 by John Oswald, are worth visiting.
