Karanja




Karanja is a taluk headquarters town situated 22 km east of Talegaon, in Wardha District. It lies on the National Highway 6, about 21 km south-west of Katol and around 23 km north of Wadhona. Ashti is 22 km north-west.

Bor Wildlife Sanctuary is an ideal getaway in the wilderness, suitable for a short excursion. Other places of tourist interest include Gandhiji's Ashram at Sevagram, Vinoba Bhave's Ashram at Paunar and Mahakali Dam.

Sonegaon Airport serves Karanja. Katol Railway Station and Arvi Railway Station are the closest railheads.
