Udaigiri is a quaint village located in Vidisha District of Madhya Pradesh. It is about 6 km from Vidisha.
The place, which heralds much archaeological significance, is renowned for its ancient temples and numerous Buddhist remains. Traces of some ancient buildings also make this place favorite for archeologist.
The major attraction is about 20 Gupta rock-cut cave shrines, dating from 320-600 AD.
Regular bus connects Udaigiri with Vidisha. Vidisha Railway Station, the nearest, is on the main Delhi-Chennai main line of the West Central Railways.
