Pandikuzhi

Pandikuzhi is a tourist spot cradled between Chellarkovil in Idukki District and the Tamil Nadu border. Pandikuzhi is 5 km from Kumily and Thekkady. Rich in a wide spectrum of flora and fauna, Pandikuzhi is a beautiful place with natural streams and cascading waters.

Pandikuzhi offers great opportunities for trekking and is a photographer's delight. The thunderous cataract that drops from a height of 1200 ft is one among the seven falls in the vicinity. To get the full view of all the falls, one should go to the Gudalloor area of Tamil Nadu. Perapara (2 km), a natural dome-shaped rock, is a nearby attraction.

To reach Pandikuzhi, one has to board any bus on Kumily – Kattappana route, alight at Randaam mile. Local transport like autos are available to Chellarkovil, which is 2 km away. From here, a trek about half a km leads to Pandikuzhi. Food and lodging facilities are available at Kumily.
