Major Chengallur Mahadeva Temple is a divine spot located at Poojapura near Academy of Magical Sciences and Noopura Institute of Indian Classical Dance and Music in Thiruvananthapuram District. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, also known as Mahadeva. Lord Shiva is worshipped here in the form of a shivling. The temple also houses sub shrines of Lord Subramania, Lord Ganesh and Nagaraja. Peacocks are kept separately in a cage near the temple. A holy water tank is situated nearby. Shivratri, celebrated here amidst much pomp and splendor, attracts a large number of people from far and near.

This holy shrine is situated around 5 km from Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station on Thiruvananthapuram-Kattakkada-Neyyar Dam Road. Trivandrum International Airport is the nearby access.
