Kumbla Shri Santhana Gopalakrishna Temple



Situated in Kumbla, 12 km north of Kasaragod on NH 17 highway, Kumbla Shri Santhana Gopalakrishna Temple is a family temple of Bhakta family. The temple is dedicated to Shri Santhanagopalakrishna and the deity is seen holding a baby in the hands.

Visit to the temple and related austerities is believed to reward issueless couples with children. Apart from Shri Santhanagopalakrishna, the temple also houses deities of Benne Krishna, Kalingamardana, Hanuman, Garuda and Mahaganapati.

The most important festivals associated with the temple are the Foundation Day, Magha Shudha Trayodashi, Gokulashtami, Shravan Bahula Ashtami and Gita Jayanti.

Kumbla Railway Station is the adjacent railway station. Bajpe Mangalore Airport is the nearest airport from the temple. Kanipura Shri Gopalakrishna Temple, Shri Veera Vittal Temple and Shri Lakshminarayana Temple are nearby.
