Tantak Monastery

Tantak Monastery is located at Tantak in Leh District of Jammu and Kashmir. This hillock monastery comprises two houses. Tantak Monastery is maintained by a monk in Phuktal. Famed for its architecture, the monastery is also noted for its walls, exquisitely garnished with fine murals.

Tantak Monastery can be approached on a descent from Phuktal and Shadi.
