Chowkibal is a small settlement in Kupwara District of Jammu and Kashmir. It lies near to Rangwar. Lignite reserves, used as a fuel in the valley of Kashmir, are found in plenty in the Nicahhom - Chowkibal area. Kheer Bhawani Asthapan, a historical monument, located at Tikker (1 km) is a nearby attraction. Drangli Nullah is another draw.
Chowkibal can be reached from Srinagar on the Sopore-Tetwal Road. Till Chowkibal, the road is open to both public and military traffic but beyond this place, it is open only to military vehicles.
