Jungle Crow



Jungle Crow (Corvus macrorhynchos) is a glossy black crow with a heavy bill and a gray patch on the neck. Both sexes are alike.

The bird feeds on carrion. This omnivorous bird destroys eggs and chicks of other birds. It nests usually high up in trees. Nesting occurs from December to April. Three to five eggs are laid.

Jungle Crow can be seen in the Ramnagar Wildlife Sanctuary, Jammu and Kashmir.
