South Goa District covers the entire southern part of the state of Goa

North Goa District
in the north, Uttara Kannada District

Taluk are the important peaks in South Goa. Rivers of South Goa such as Zuari, Talpona, Sal and Galgibag are mainly used for transportation.

Betul, Canaguinim, Agonda,
Palolem, Rajbhag and Polem are the other famous beaches in South Goa. Cottigao Wildlife Sanctuary in South Goa is the second largest of Goa's wildlife sanctuaries. It is covered with dense forest which is a habitat of deer, gazelles, monkeys and other fauna.
