Born at
Agra in 1723, Mir Taqi Mir is one of the most notable
Urdu poets of all time. His prominent works include 'Kulliyat-e-Mir', 'Zikr-e-Mir' and 'Ajgar Nama'. He is also credited of composing several
ghazals. Mir died in
Lucknow on 20 September, 1810.
