Lam



Lam is a picturesque village, located 8 km north of Guntur, on the Guntur – Amaravati route.

Agricultural Research Station, Government Livestock Farm and Chillies Research Station are some of the research institutions located here. Another attraction is a tank known as Bhairavakunda. A stone by its side enshrines nine idols including a brass image of Lord Hanuman and an image of Lord Ganesh. Besides, a boulder can be seen here, bearing an inscription in archaic characters.

Undavalli Caves, Amaravati Museum and Uppalapadu Bird Sanctuary are some of the tourist attractions around.

By road, Lam is easily accessible from Guntur Central Bus Station. Guntur Junction Railway Station, served by the Southern Railways, is the nearest rail access. Vijayawada Airport is the nearest airport.
