Bobbili Fort is situated at Bobbili in Vizianagaram District and is related to the historic battle of Bobbili, fought in 1757. The battle was between the Raja of Bobbili, Gopalakrishna Ranga Rao and the zamindar of Vizianagaram, Vijayarama Raju (who was helped by the French). Bobbili Fort stands as a testimony to the skills of the Raja of Bobbili.
