Established in 1998, TERI School of Advanced Studies is a Deemed University recognized by the
University Grants Commission (UGC). It is a non-profit independent research institute and conducts research in energy, and environment for sustainable development.
The School offers research programs leading to the degree of Ph D in various fields of applied sciences, and policy and planning, and Master of Science in Environmental Studies, and Natural Resources. Selection is based on a written test.
Facilities include well-equipped laboratories, greenhouses, polyhouses, culture rooms, laminar flow cabinets, BOD incubators, fermenters, fuel cell test facility, controlled atmosphere furnace, thermocycler for PCR, anaerobic chamber, ultra centrifuge and high performance liquid chromatograph.
TERI school is situated 8 km from the New Delhi railway station, 12 km from the Old Delhi railway station, and 22 km from the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
