Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple




Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, located on the banks of Krishna River, is one of the important shrines dedicated to Lord Venkateswara in the Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh . Large numbers of devotees visit the temple and observe Vrathas, Vedadyanam and Yogabyas to get rid of their sins and prosper in lives. Devotees also tonsure their heads in redemption of their vows. Other deities worshipped here include Sri Padmavathi, Sri Sarada Devi, Sri Satyanarayana Swamy, Navagrahas and Lord Ganesh.

Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple is just 5 km from Vijayawada. The domestic airport is located at Gannavaram, which is about 20 km from the city. Vijayawada lies along the Chennai-Howrah and Chennai-Delhi rail route and is the largest railway junction of the South Central Railway. By road, Vijayawada is linked with Amaravati, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Chennai, Visakhapatnam and Warangal.
