Punnakamugal Sree Mahaganapathy Temple




Punnakamugal Sree Mahaganapathy Temple is situated amid picturesque surroundings between Punnakamugal Sree Swayampoorna Ashram and Kallaramadom Bhagavathy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram. This temple is the abode of Lord Ganesh, also called Mahaganapathy.

Lord Muruga, Nagar, Brahmarakshas, Yogeeshwaran and Mantramurti are the other deities worshipped. Although Lord Ganesh is the major deity, kavadiyattom, sacred to Muruga, is also performed during the annual festival. A large number of people gather here for the fire-walking ritual conducted during the week-long colorful annual festival.
