Mechuka is a divisional headquarters in the northern part of
West Siang District in
Arunachal Pradesh.
The major tourist attraction here is a 400-year-old Buddhist Monastery, which is located at a hilltop in the western most part of Mechuka. Numerous ancient statues can also be found here.

Mechuka is 215 km north-west of Along and is only 29 km away from Indo-China border. Nearest airport is Lilabari Airport. Silapathar Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
