Kshitij Theater Group, located in
New Delhi, was founded in 1987, by a team of graduates of the National School of Drama. It was formed with an objective of promoting and mobilizing effective theater.
The theater group has produced several remarkable plays based on different novels and stories. Yayati, Subarnalata, Burfeeli Aandhi Aur Pistaul Ka Nishana and Biyaban Mein Ugtey Kinshuk are some among them. Besides, the Kshitij Theater Group organizes theater workshops in remote areas with the support of the Department of Culture, Ministry of HRD. Specialized research in the fields of folk art and culture of the Himalayan region is also carried out.
