Dichu lies on the Indo-China international border and is about 30 km from Walong
in Lohit District
. It falls on the upper reaches of Arunachal Pradesh
and has been identified as one of the eight disputed territories by India and China. Dichu can be reached by a 5 km journey on foot from Kibithoo
The Lohit River flows nearby. Hence the hamlet figures in the tourism map as a rafting destination in the district. Since lying in a politically sensitive area, prior permission is required for visiting Dichu.
