Binsar Mela is a biannual fair organized in
Pauri Garhwal District of
Uttaranchal. It is held on the auspicious events of
Vaikunta Chaturdashi and Kartik Poornima.
By visiting the Binsar Mela, one can experience the cultural mix brought about by the confluence of people from far and near. Among the various cultural programs arranged here, the prominent ones include dances like Pandava Nritya and Chounphula. The traditional folk songs include the famous Mangal and Khuded and Pawada songs. The whole night is marked by dance and celebrations, amidst the rhythm of the indigenous folk instruments.
