Amlighat




Amlighat is located in Satchand block ('block' is an administrative unit) of South Tripura District. This place is on the south-western side of the block, close to the Bangladesh border. Agriculture is the main occupation of the area. Dakshin Srinagar lies to the north, Dasarath Nagar to the east and Harbatali to the south.

Pilak (a treasure house of Hindu and Buddhist sculptures), Lungthung and Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary are tourist interests in the region.

Sabroom, on the National Highway 44, Manu Bazar and Belonia are major towns nearby. Udaipur, the district headquarters and a tourist destination, is around 60 km north.
