Yoga, an ancient Indian practice, is believed to have its origin around 2500 BC. The word yoga means 'union' in Sanskrit.

Yoga is a scientific system, where the body and mind are linked to create a state of internal peacefulness and integration. It brings health, happiness and a greater sense of self for the practitioners.

Yoga techniques include stretching postures (asana), breathing, and meditation techniques. It includes different techniques such as Suryanamaskara, Tadasana, Virasana, Ustrasana, Halasana and Savasana. It offers increasing flexibility, and increasing lubrication of the joints, ligaments and tendons. High consciousness and peaceful mind can be achieved by its practice.
