Chembur




A prime residential area, Chembur is located in the eastern part of Mumbai. It is east of Kurla and west of Mankhurd. Chembur is around 22 km north-east of Churchgate.

The central location of the town makes it a transportation hub; and roads heading to Navi Mumbai, Ghatkopar, Sion, Kurla, Mulund, Mankhurd, Panvel and Thane crisscross at Chembur.

Bombay Presidency Golf Club is the prime attraction at Chembur. Other main attractions are NG Acharya Garden or Diamond Garden, Sandu Garden and Pestom Sagar Garden and old time bungalows and villas.

Bandra is around 9 km west. Chembur Railway Station is on the Kurla-Mankhurd line.

Nearest major railhead is Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Railway Station. Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is around 20 km north-west. Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station is around 18 km south.
