Samudra Narayana Temple




Samudra Narayana Temple, also known as Sangam Narayana, is a delightful shrine situated in the ancient town of Dwarka, in Gujarat. Located on the banks of Gomati River, the temple is near the confluence of Gomati and the Arabian Sea. The temple enshrines beautiful idols of Lord Varuna, Samudra Deva (deity of sea), Mira Bal and Mother Asta Bhavani.

Most noteworthy feature of the temple is that the waves of the sea continuously hit on the temple walls. The temple has a sacred kund (tank) where ceremonial sacrifices performed. A meditation cave known as Manoratha Dwar is situated near the temple.
