Hathi Pahar

Hathi Pahar, also known as Mahadevatari, is a small hill situated east of Deoghar, Jharkhand. ‘Mahadevatari’ indicates that this small hill is beneath the temple of Lord Shiva. From a distance the hill appears like an elephant, so it is called Hathi Pahar.

A thin stream of water, which flows over a bed of huge rocks adds to its charm.

The place can be easily accessed from the Deoghar Bus Station. Baidyanathdham Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
