Neyyoor




Neyyoor, also spelt Neiyyur and Neyyur, is a small town in Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu. It sprawls over an area of around five square kilometers

The place is dotted with lush green paddy fields and fresh water ponds with lotus and water lilies. It receives rain from south east monsoon (October) and south west monsoon (June and July).

Neyyoor is bounded by Eraniel in the east, Colachel in the south-west and Balapallam in the north-west. Nearby excursions include Padmanabhapuram Palace, Colachel Port, Adhikesava Perumal Temple at Thiruvattar, Sanguthurai Beach, Manavalakurichi and Muttam.

Trivandrum International Airport is the nearest airport. Eraniel Railway Station serves the town. Neyyoor can be approached from Thiruvananthapuram (70 km) and Nagercoil (18 km.)
