Balapallam

Balapallam (also spelt Palapalam) is a small settlement located near Colachel in Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu. It spans over an area of about six sq km. Colachel is situated in the south, Neyyoor in the south-east, Thiruvithancode in the north-east and Kappiyarai in the north. Nearby tourist spots include Colachel Port, Kanyakumari, Padmanabhapuram Palace, Sanguthurai Beach, Manavalakurichi and Muttam. Accommodation is available at Hotel Rajam and Parvathi Residency in Nagercoil. Trivandrum International Airport is the nearest airport. Nagercoil Junction Railway Station is the nearest major railhead. Balapallam can be approached from Nagercoil and Kuzhithurai by road.
