Kattuputtur, also spelt Kattuputhur, is a small town on the banks of the river Cauvery, in Tiruchirapalli District. This place is located in the western region of the district, close to the borders of Namakkal and Karur districts. Karur is 17 km west, Mohanur is 13 km south, Thottiam is 11 km east and Mayanur is 6 km south.
