New Delhi, the political nerve center and capital city of India, is on the west bank of the Yamuna River

Janpath houses the government tourist offices, hotels, tourist shopping centers. Chanakyapuri, locates most the embassies, is south of New Delhi. Old Delhi is situated north of Connaught Place.
