Indian Air Force Museum




Indian Air Force Museum is one amongst the finest Air Force Museums in the world, situated at Palam, in the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi. The museum showcases a wide collection of memorabilia of Indian Military Aviation and displays the history of Indian Air Force.

The museum has an indoor gallery depicting the pictorial history of the Indian Air Force and also showcasing a large collection of memorabilia, uniforms and personal weapons of different periods. The adjoining hangar houses the actual aircraft of different periods, ordnance, anti aircraft guns, vehicles and other assorted items. The outdoor gallery war trophies, radar equipment and captured enemy vehicles. Classic aircrafts from 1950s and 1960s are displayed in the Model Gallery.

Indian Air Force War Memorial, situated right upon entering the museum, shows the tribute to the fallen airmen.

Visiting hours are set between 10:00 to 17:00 hrs from Wednesday to Sunday. The museum is closed on Monday, Tuesday and government holidays.
