Zingral lies to the south-western part of
Leh in
Leh District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is placed at an altitude of about 17,224 ft above sea level and is 19 km away from
Stakna.
Chimre in the west, Lhabap in the north, Darbuk in the east and Upshi in the south are the neighboring places connecting Zingral. Picturesque view of the snow-capped mountains and the beautiful valleys sporting fresh water streams, can be enjoyed from here.
The route via Karu on the Manali - Leh highway passes through Zingral and over the Cheng La Pass. One can also approach Zingral from Thiksey and Shyok.
