Zamling Gaon

Also called Jamlingthang



Zamling Gaon is a scenic village located in West Sikkim District. It is also called Jamlingthang. The village lies on the Dzongri-Bakhim trek route. The village was named after Zamling Norgay Sherpa, son of Tenzing Norgay. It is surrounded by rhododendron and magnolias. Nearby tourist locations are Yuksom, Tsokha and Chemathang. The nearest airport is at Bagdogra in West Bengal. The nearest railway station is at New Jalpaiguri.
