Yamunotri Glacier




Yamunotri Glacier, also known as the Kalinda Parbat, is in the Tehri Garhwal District of Uttaranchal. The Glacier is the source of the famous river Yamuna. It is located at a height of 4420 m and was the home of sage Asit. Yamunotri Glacier is near the Banderpoonch Peaks in the Mussourie range of the Lower Himalayas. Just 6 km below the glacier is the Yamunotri Temple.
