Veyulugantha Vinayagar Temple is located around 85 km from Rameshwaram at Upoor in Ramanathapuram District of Tamil Nadu. This temple is the abode of Lord Ganesh, also called Vinayagar by the locals. The importance of this shrine is that Lord Ram, on his way to Sri Lanka in search of Sita, worshipped Lord Ganesh at this temple.
